Additionally, agricultural producers that are not eligible for USDA\nFarm Service Agency loans may receive funding under USDA&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lnks.gd\/l\/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDAsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsImJ1bGxldGluX2lkIjoiMjAyMDA1MjEuMjE4NDU5NjEiLCJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL3d3dy5yZC51c2RhLmdvdi9wcm9ncmFtcy1zZXJ2aWNlcy9idXNpbmVzcy1hbmQtaW5kdXN0cnktY2FyZXMtYWN0LXByb2dyYW0ifQ.NED4hKKUy0ClIuaTj-99CMoEI8PotIq-BzLXaee979g\/br\/78942496949-l\">Business\n&amp; Industry (B&amp;I) CARES Act Program<\/a>&nbsp;provisions included in\nthe&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lnks.gd\/l\/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDEsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsImJ1bGxldGluX2lkIjoiMjAyMDA1MjEuMjE4NDU5NjEiLCJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL3d3dy5jb25ncmVzcy5nb3YvYmlsbC8xMTZ0aC1jb25ncmVzcy9zZW5hdGUtYmlsbC8zNTQ4L3RleHQifQ.L65k5Ma3d3i69LW0ir8fQQKIvVwd1Lq-7ZOhfTWvi8I\/br\/78942496949-l\">Coronavirus\nAid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnder the leadership of President Trump, USDA is committed to being a\nstrong partner to rural businesses and agricultural producers and being a\nstrong supporter of all aspects of the rural economy,\u201d Secretary Perdue said.\n\u201cEnsuring more rural agricultural producers are able to gain access to\nmuch-needed capital in these unprecedented times is a cornerstone of that\ncommitment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to expanding eligibility to certain agricultural producers, the\nchanges Secretary Perdue announced today allow USDA to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Provide 90 percent guarantees on B&amp;I CARES Act\n     Program loans;<\/li><li>Set the application and guarantee fee at two percent of\n     the loan;<\/li><li>Accept appraisals completed within two years of the\n     loan application date;<\/li><li>Not require discounting of collateral for working\n     capital loans, and<\/li><li>Extend the maximum term for working capital loans to 10\n     years.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>B&amp;I CARES Act Program loans must be used as working capital to prevent,\nprepare for or respond to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The loans\nmay be used only to support rural businesses, including agricultural producers,\nthat were in operation on Feb. 15, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>USDA intends to consider applications in the order they are received.\nHowever, the Department may assign priority points to projects if the demand\nfor funds exceeds availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>USDA announced the expanded B&amp;I CARES Act Program authorities in a\nnotice published in the May 21&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lnks.gd\/l\/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDIsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsImJ1bGxldGluX2lkIjoiMjAyMDA1MjEuMjE4NDU5NjEiLCJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL3MzLmFtYXpvbmF3cy5jb20vcHVibGljLWluc3BlY3Rpb24uZmVkZXJhbHJlZ2lzdGVyLmdvdi8yMDIwLTExMjQzLnBkZiJ9.omLKgXDD5oDlRpoyN1sopr8T-OT4CyUqertsugyIDnY\/br\/78942496949-l\">Federal\nRegister<\/a>&nbsp;(PDF, 217 KB).
