CDFA recognizes Black History Month and the contributions, achievements, and sacrifices made by Black Americans on behalf of our state\u2019s agriculture industry. It\u2019s also a time for us to reflect and honor the Black farmers and ranchers who are planting, growing, and harvesting, and to acknowledge the historic challenges and racism they have faced. Black farmers and ranchers in California tend 120,264 acres and account for $181.3 million in ag sales, according to the USDA\u2019s National Agricultural Statistics Service. \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
