Courtesy California Dept. of Motor Vehicles — Pictured is the new design of the popular specialty license plate, featuring a much smaller graphical design. In the past, plates such as this had the image covering the entirety of the plate. But the California Highway Patrol apparently complained the plate-wide graphics made it difficult for troopers to read the license plate number and requested the graphics be limited to the left quarter or so of the plates as new plate designs are issued. This plate, in support of California’s agricultural community is the first new plate issued since 2002.
